As a result of all the positive feedback we have received, we have started promoting a few people's websites (those that have used the free125cards images to create their personalized 125 card). This can be found against the "Showcase" section on the free125cards.com site. The idea for this is that by showcasing your personalized card designs, our site will also help to promote your website for free (how does that sound?)
You are ALL welcome to show us the 125 cards you have personalized. It doesn't have to be about your website, it can just be about showing us your creative side (and if you have a website, you can also promote it at the same time!). If you want to take a look, go to "Showcase" section and you will see what it is I'm referring to. You can apply to showcase your new personalized 125 card image as many times as you like, just as long as it's a new one (and just limit it to 5 per day).
We would like to thank Gina H for being our first contributor/designer - she has kindly provided 4 new 125 card designs to add to the gallery. Check out her new designs by going to the 'Home' tab on free125cards.com and scroll down and you will see her small card under "Designers/Contributors".
As part of our philosophy, we want to encourage our visitors to be creative and participate on our new site, so don't be shy! When you contribute a new 125 card design or showcase a 125 personalized card we will always acknowledge you for your work and if you have a website we can also help promote that for you through the free125cards.com site.
With your help we will continue to improve this new tool. Again many thanks and we look forward to your continued support.
Cheers,
Marie & Simon

Nice niche you got there! With blogging skyrocketing right now, and 125x125 ads are on the rise; there is a great demand for 125x125 cards for promotional and advertising purposes. I love the watermarks! :D

Submitted by MarketingDeviant (not verified) on 22 May, 2008 - 19:18.I like the idea, and went to try it out. When I picked a template (the plain green one) and clicked on personalized, nothing happened. In other words, I couldn't make it to the next step. I am using Firefox on a Mac.
I will try it on my PC as soon as I finish restoring the hard drive - I have been meaning to get around to making another card, and just haven't done it yet.

As for the browser issues. The editor seems to be working fine on Firefox 3 RC1 now and Opera Browser. Never got a chance to test it in IE7(I only have IE 6) and Safari(works perfectly) for Windows.

Submitted by Louie (not verified) on 23 May, 2008 - 03:39.What is a "125 card"? From context, my guess is that it's some kind of technical term from one of these link-exchange systems (maybe Entrecard?). As a non-member of whatever it comes from, it's not clear to me why I should care. You might attract more interest if you included a more accessible explanation in some prominent spot on your site - at the moment I look at it and say "Oh, this is all about something that has nothing to do with me" and go away.

Submitted by Matt (not verified) on 23 May, 2008 - 10:55.@MarketingDeviant - Yeh, you're right there's certainly a rise with 125 cards being used for advertisements that's for sure.
@moneylovechange - You may have a pop-up blocker turned on, as the text editor is displayed in a pop-up window. Sometimes the pop-up window may have also minimized, so keep an eye out for this. I hope you were able to finally personalized your own 125 card :)
@Louie - We will have to look into the browser issues at a later date...thanks Louie, much appreciated :)
@Matt - Thanks for the feedback, we have now put a link on the front home page on free125cards.com that says "What is a 125 card?", that way people who are not familiar with 125 x 125 pixels cards have a better understanding.
Matt I have looked at your website, and on the far right hand side you have 2 ads running and these cards are 125 x 125 pixels. This is what I am referring to.
