Our First Competition: It starts with an idea

Vivid Lamp is excited to announce the launch of its FIRST competition. We know how much people love coming up with ideas and so we have decided to create a competition to get people talking about the idea creation process.
Our world is full of innovative and creative ideas. What we would like you to tell us is:
What inspires you to be creative and discover that great idea?
Some aspects you may want to include in your answer are:
- What creative step/s or processess have you used to come up with a great idea?
- How do you cultivate or foster your creativity?
- What creative ideas have you successfully put in motion?
- How do you differentiate between a good idea and a bad one?
- Have you ever told anyone about your idea/s? If so, what was their reaction?
To enter our May 2008 competition:
- You can make your submission using this form.
- In 150 words minimum (300 words maximum) answer the question - "What inspires you to be creative and discover that great idea?"
- Post a review about this competition on your site with banner, within the competition timeframe (for the month of May) OR display our competition banner anywhere on the front page of your website. (Banners can be found here: 468x60 banner, 125x125 banner)
- Only 1 entry per person or website per week will be accepted.
- You must sign up with your active Paypal email address. If you don't have one, you can register for Paypal here.
Prizes:
There will be 1 winner per week (announced weekly)

Terms and Conditions:
1. Only one entry per week, per person or website.
2. You must post a review about this competition on your site, within the competition timeframe.
For example, if the competition is for the month of May 2008, and you have decided to enter the competition anytime in the May period, you will need to post a review of the competition ONLY ONCE between May 1st - 31st 2008. However, if you decide to enter another competition that is in the June 2008 period, a new post about this competition on your website must be made.
3. Alternatively, if you think you will be entering Vivid Lamp's competition each week, you can just place the competition logo on your site on the front page where it is visible to view.
4. An article of 150 words minimum and of 300 words maximum can be submitted.
5. Your article must be your own original work. Plagiarism will not be accepted.
6. Any article that Vivid Lamp deems as offensive will be rejected without question. Offensive material can include explicit language, defamatory comments to a culture/group/individual/gender/age or anything that Vivid Lamp deems as offensive.
7. Vivid Lamp does not claim ownership of Content you submit or make available for inclusion on our website. However, with respect to Content you submit or make available for inclusion through this competition, you grant Vivid Lamp the right to reproduce your work in both digital and print form.
8. All prizes will be paid via paypal only. You must have an active paypal account to claim your prize.
9. All winners will be given free advertisement on Vivid Lamp's website (www.vividlamp.com) showing their nominated 125 x 125 card for 1 week. The 125 x 125 card that will be displayed on Vivid Lamp's website will be the one that you have elected to use during your registration for this competition.
10. Your work may be included in a magazine in the future published by Vivid Lamp.
11. By submitting an entry to this competition you agree to our terms and conditions.

Submitted by indocontest (not verified) on 27 April, 2008 - 06:24.@Indocontest - Our contest is a little different from anything out there, because we really want to stimulate people's minds, so they can be creative and for each of them to assess their own creative process.
I guess this sort of contest may not be to everyone's liking, but hopefully people can also tell us what it is they don't like and we can work on improving it so that it is more user friendly, etc.

You are half-way there. You also need to answer the following question for the month of May (150-300 words):

Submitted by Marie on 2 May, 2008 - 11:57.Since you said I was only half way there with the banner, I tried to submit my "essay" using the form provided, but received this alert after pressing submit: You have submitted the maximum number of entries. Check submission guidelines.
Let me know if I'm fully entered or if something needs to be reset and I can try again.
